You have read Philip K. Dick's "We Can Build You", no?
Robotic Abraham Lincoln, and they build a robotic John Wilkes Booth to assassinate the robotic Lincoln. One of his better novels, FYI. The robots are more human than the human characters...(A common thread in PKD novels.)
Oh, and I voted!
Man, at this point I wish I hadn't voted early so that I could change my vote to the Franklin/Lincoln-bot ticket.
