Paintings from the deep sea.

So the "Mystical Skrimshaw and Sunken Castles" show went awesomely. Daria's whale ruled. I will post photos when Vera hooks me up. In the meantime, here is the bunch of little paintings I have on display. The show runs until July 31st. So go see it and also enjoy it!! my paintings are arranged in a sort of surfboard shape, i will say. @ the Pony Club!

Portland... July 3rd!

This Thursday the 3rd of july i will take part in a 2 person show with Daria Tessler. We are both doing underwater things. It will be amazing most likely and you should all go. I shall be there. Daria shall also be there. So will that bearded fellow, David Youngblood. You're in for a real treat!

It will be at the Pony Club! 625 NW Everett st. Show will be up for a month i believe? Yes, i believe so. I will post the art later this week for public digital viewing.

hey, so this past weekend was super fun. i met some pretty amazing people. dustin harbin and shelton drum and all the heroes con people blew me away with how dope they were. Charoltteneans rule for sure.

other new bro examples who you need to investigate are these: Kazimir Strzepek (mourning star), Liz Prince (little books that are funny), Laura Park (i wear a shirt she designed without knowing it), Brian Ralph (little cave man dudes among other things), Nicolas Gurewitch (perry bible fellowship amazing), and Matt Chapman and his actual bro (homestar runner oh man). And Derek Ballard was my awesome skilled neighbor.

Charlotte, NC..... this weekend

Hey, everyone. this weekend i will be a guest at Heroes Con in Charlotte. June 21-22. It's a big comic show with an indie section called "indie island". that's where i'll be. i'll have hickee comics, prints, king of kong posters, shirts, and so on..

also, i did a poster for the show, that they will have limited edition prints of.. so those will be good times to enjoy. that piece is pictured above. an island with a convention on it. surrounded by sea monsters and water. and a scale for measuring. and a scroll. and a compass. seafaring things.

awesome, well, i hope to see you east coasters there!

The Double Fine Action Comics! In book form! What the heck?

Volume 1 will include the first 300 of my comics. Plus other things like a board game, a pin up, a making of, a commentary, and a foreword by TIM Schafer (whose words are world famous). .. all kinds of things that will make you super psyched.

It's a Double Fine and Nerdcore teamup and it's coming out in AUGUST, but you can preorder from Nerdcore right now! And at San Diego Comic Con, we should have some as well. more on that later.

a Battle from Stumptown

Hello, everyone.
So Stumptown was great, last weekend. Graham and i had a nice relaxing time at the table. Selling Hickees. and other things.
A fellow with a beard named pete (from the amazing GEEGAR) had me battle a fellow named Zack Soto (from pony club) through old fashioned drawing. Both of these dudes are very cool.
The battle went like this:it was a fun battle.

Cute Hunter. (Solo Show...LA)

Hey, so Saturday May 3rd, i will be showing at Secret Headquarters, which is an amazing comic shop in LA. There's lots of nicely stained wood in there. It looks like someone's awesome den.

I'll be showing new paintings depicting a collector of cute things. Everyone likes to collect cute things. Well, not everybody, i guess.

Stumptown this weekend..

4 new prints!

So for the King of Kong signing, Nucleus put out 4 new prints! Check them out. Two of them are from the world famous Igloo Head and Tree Head story. (spoilers though... if you haven't read that story). (And world famous is me fantasizing, i think)

Here is my favorite moment from the King of Kong signing that happened this past saturday. shaking hands with razputin. i know tim already used this photo, but whatevs. i dig it. i mean, i also liked shaking hands with seth and ed and clay.. the dudes who made the movie.. but they werent wearing outfits as amazing as this one.
so it was a fun night. good things happened. people seemed happy. i felt happy. here are more photos from it.. "more photos"

King of Kong Signing! march 22nd

Hey, everybody!
So on Saturday March 22nd, at Gallery Nucleus in LA, I will be chilling signing stuff. Like dvds, comics, posters, animals, whatever. I AM 8BIT will be putting out a limited run of prints of the King of Kong piece as well, so this will be a good opportunity to come over and buy some of those deals and i will sign them right in front of you with my hands!
Also, it will be awesome because Seth Gordon and Ed Cunningham will be there, the dudes who made King of Kong. and Jon Gibson. that awesome guy. It will pretty much be the best time ever, and you should come and hang out with me and these cool guys.

Also, nucleus will have all my usual prints for sale, i am assuming. So seriously, come over. Awesome.
