Records! Plus a nice gift.

Hey! Look It's a record! This is by The Parallelograms, a UK band that plays cute poppy jams. I am honored to have my artwork kick it on the record clothing! Turned out cute, i think. I did an earlier even smaller little record for them. It was a mini cd though. This is an actual record for a record player.

You can purchase one of these little dudes online at Cloudberry Records.

Second thing is not for sale. This sweet girl who goes by Giddygirlie embroidered this awesome Rod Serling piece based on a drawing i did a little while ago. It turned out great! It makes me happy. Thanks, G and G music factory!

Brutal Legend Art walkthrough...

Hey, gang. So the Brutal Legend demo is out now. The game is set to be released October 13th. (This is the game we've been working on at Double Fine for like 5 years)

Here is a sweet "Art Of" walkthrough by Lee Petty, DF Art Director. Lee is the best. It shows a lot of the various parts of the game... if you want to see the style and so forth. It's also got a bunch of the concept art in there.

and if you want to see the opening cinematic, which might spoil your playing experience a little bit.. or it might psyche you up for it.. you can watch it here:

SPX this weekend!

"Portrait of Lazy Knight"

Man. This weekend is going to be the best. I hope you are going. Because we will all be enjoying the best time together.

This weekend is SPX in Bethesda.
It will be the first time i have been there in like 5 years or something. Big time. I will be chilling at table D1-D2b with Dustin Harbin, my tight bro from North Carolina.

i'll have books and t-shirts and prints... all that stuff. But also, Lazy Knight will finally be making an appearance. He was supposed to be in San Diego for that convention, but homie is super busy and also lazy. So he's hard to motivate sometimes.

But he'll be there! sweet. It will be pretty great.

interesting fact: the area where this cafe is located was Jack the Ripper's stomping ground. that sure is a spooky fact, eh? we went by the Ten Bells pub, which was his hangout.

See you at MoCCA.

This weekend is MoCCA (the Museum of Comic and Cartoon Art Festival). At the armory building in Manhattan.

I will have a table there with Nathan Stapley.

Here is a shopping list of things at our table:

-Double Fine Action Comics books (the book compiling these dudes)
-Hickee comics

-various prints of various sizes and themes.
-Great Great Grandshow books

-perhaps some special Nathan Stapley things.

But also, we will be debuting some things that will soon appear in the DF Shop:
-Double Fine Action Comic SHIRTS

-Double Fine Action Comic BUTTONS

The image on the shirt: Knight, Muscleman, and 2HB kickin' it.

London Sneak Peek

So very soon, Jim Mahfood and i will be in London for the SUPREME BROSHIP show at London Miles gallery in Notting Hill. June 11th.

We did a whole bunch of stuff for this show. Including collaborations. Which is something sort of new to me, aside from the comics i used to do with the Hickee guys. Jim sent me some paintings that he started and i sent him some that i started. We then added our bits in response. Here is a sneak peek at some of those..

Jim sent me these and i added to them. I enjoyed this process. (althoug
h i started to use acryla-gouache and got weirded out. not my usual medium. i bailed on it.)

And here are a few of the solo pieces i did. (Igloo Head and Tree Head will be making a number of appearances with their friends.)

"Ninja Catch"

"Walking Dioskilos"

"Volcano Head (Getting Excited)"

So yeah! Come to the show if you are near London. Jim and i will be there along with Jon Gibson and Derek Puleston of Nerdcore.

OH, and dont forget we will also be signing books at Forbidden Planet the night before on the 10th. I'll have a bunch of copies of the Double Fine Action Comics book.
We'll also have them at the show. And i'll have some prints of things..

IN OTHER NEWS... E3 is this week.. which means, Tim S. will be down there showing off Brutal Legend. It will be a very exciting week.

whoah, UPDATE: i just noticed they are doing some big giveaway thing with tim and twitter. I designed this atrocious Tenacious D guitar for the game. They build a real version and are giving it away. That makes this week even more exciting!

They are here.

I am hearing reports that the DOUBLE FINE ACTION COMICS book has finally been arriving at doorsteps across America. And the entire WORLD. So if you preordered a copy, it should be arriving any minute, if it has not already.

This is very exciting news.

For those of you who do not know, this is Volume 1, collecting the first 300 comics of the webcomic I do for doublefine.com. Along with extra 'making of' sorts of things that movies usually come with. Available at Nerdcore and Doublefine..

More on this exciting time soon. But the FIRST KICK OFF will be at TCAF. That is when i shall first have them in my hands for the publics..

CLOUD HOUSE PRINTS ..plus some discontinued.

Hello, everyone. Besides seeing you tonight at myplasticheart, let me just tell you about the new limited edition CLOUDHOUSE PRINTS at Gallery Nucleus. Only 30 of them. And they are huge.

Here is a picture of one on a wall above an outlet.

And here is some detail from that painting in case you have forgotten what is going on in that cloud.

Alright, so another announcement to discuss with you are the prints that we are DISCONTINUING. On April 15! So you might want to go buy like 100 of each and put them in mylar bags because they will be so expensive 100 years into the future. (because they will be so rare) (maybe) (uncertain)

These are the ones to be discontinued on April 15th:

Goodbye, awesome prints. You were all really nice prints. We had good times...
