Twin Peaks Art Exhibition

You guys! i am super excited to be a part of the Twin Peaks 2oth Anniversary show on Feb 12 and 13th in LA! A week after the GREAT SHOWDOWNS exhibition.

Twin Peaks was one of my favorite shows of all time, so it was the greatest pleasure ever doing a painting for it. i will post the painting closer to the show. But in the meantime here is the awesome site they have for it! twinpeaks20.com David Lynch did the design! David also has work in the show which should be the best thing on earth.

I will be letting everyone know exactly when during the chosen day and ask some sort of super smart sounding question that you will have to answer. you will need to email me at scottlava@gmail.com with whatever answers need to happen. Alright, you guys, here is the thing i've been looking forward to. The GREAT SHOWDOWNS exhibition at Gallery 1988 in LA on Feb. 4th!

If you have ever emailed me about purchasing one of the paintings from the GREAT SHOWDOWNS series, this will be your chance to buy some. If you have ever wanted to see a wall covered in SHOWDOWNS, this will also be your chance. If you have ever wondered what my hair style is looking like these days, this will be your chance. (because i will be in attendance)


Yes! This is going to be the best thing ever. I can't wait.

ALSO, in the weeks leading up to this show, i will be putting up for sale the last A.P. prints from the first 4 sold out series! These are the only ones in existence. I will be doing so on Twitter. SF Sketchfest poster!!

Hey, everyone! So when i lived in San Francisco, SF Sketchfest was one of my favorite things ever. Super great comedy all over the place. it is the best. This Jan 13 - Feb 5 will be the 10th anniversary of SF Sketchfest. i was super honored to have been able to do the special poster for it! It's got many of the people who have done the fest in the past. so many of my idols are on this poster. it is nuts.



and if you are wondering who everyone is, here is a special little KEY to help you figure it out. Some are difficult perhaps...


They will be making commemorative posters of this. you should go get one and see some comedy and get excited. here's the lineup this year! Pretty dope

you feelin good? i'm feelin pretty good. this is going to be the month of crazy working super hard to finish this kids book about dragons. It is called East Dragon West Dragon. I will be posting progress shots all month here on the blog and on twitter!

It is time for the GREAT SHOWDOWN print set #5 to be released. Gallery 1988 will be releasing limited edition sets this Friday Nov. 26th (Black Friday). Youguys! Columbus, OH was the best! Scott and Laura of Rivet Gallery were the best! all the people who came to the Q&A and the show were the best! lots of pretty great questions. It was great meeting and hanging with all of you!
