a Comic Reading

hey, new news! This Friday i will be taking part in this comic reading in Berkeley. At this "comic reading", i will be reading one of my comics with some high tech projection equipment.

I will be reading this story... i dont know if it's supposed to be top secret or anything.. but whatever.

Comics Out Loud
Friday, May 18th, 7:00 pm
A multi-media showcase of young indie comics artists. Participating cartoonists include Julia Wertz (Fart Party), Shannon O'Leary (Pet Noir), Justin Hall (Hard to Swallow, True Travel Tales), Geoff Vasile (Track Rabbit), MariNaomi (Estrus Comics), Scott Campbell (Hickee), Joe Sayers (Thingpart, I'm Gonna Rip Your Face Off), and Jason Shiga (Bookhunter). We'll have lots of great, hard-to- get comics and 'zines, along with refreshments.
Pegasus Books Downtown, 2349 Shattuck Avenue, Berkeley.

buttons for your jacket

hey, you guys. i'm not sure if you need any buttons for your jacket, but these ones could probably work pretty good. they are Double Fine Action Comic buttons. that is the daily comic that i do. nathan does one too.
yeah, if you dig buttons and mummies and knights and babies with two heads, you might be into these craps.

Long Neck Dinosaur

These Paintings are for the Power In Numbers show at gallery nucleus in LA. everything's $100 and benefits the red cross i think. But i could be wrong. Maybe it benefits something else. Or nothing. Oh, damn, i should find that out.

montreal is a ruling place.

The show is Montreal was great. RedBird is an awesome spot. Naomi is great. Paul is great. Conan and Liam are great.
Here are the pieces i put into the show. There is a good chance they will be in a show in Portland coming up in June. Except for Mummy Piano... that one is flying to LA.

oh, man. This was the best weekend ever. APE was great. THE INDIE show was great. These are the four paintings i had in the indie show. and the show is still up at gallery 1988, so you should go see it. It will probably be much easier to look at the art now.

the Pacmans

Alright, I am 8bit was last night at 1988 Gallery in LA. I couldn't go, but i hear it was awesome. This is what i put in this year...
They are called "the Pacmans". 27 little dudes. I am not sure how they displayed them, but i hope they displayed them like this:
That would have been clever. Maybe they did. I am not sure.
It's still up though. Go see all the awesome stuff there!

oh, hey! that other show just happened in LA this past friday at Thinkspace Gallery! i forgot to mention! but i think it was awesome. i checked out some hidden cameras of the show and so forth. i found photos and things on their site. it'll still be up for awhile, so go see it. it looks to be an eyefull.
